Reconstructed sidewalks and ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps along both sides of the entire corridor
Curb extensions at crosswalks adjacent to on-street parking to shorten the pedestrian crossing distances
Improved accessibility for people with disabilities
Crosswalks at signalized intersections with appropriate crossing times, APS push buttons, and countdown timers
Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons at all non-signalized crosswalks
Enhanced streetscape (lighting, benches, trees, landscaping, stormwater management, etc.)
Bicyclist & Micro-mobility benefits:
Dedicated bicycle & micro-mobility facilities along the corridor
Conceptual design elements include:
Separated bicycle lanes at sidewalk level
On-street painted buffered bicycle lanes
Non-buffered bicycle lanes within constrained areas
Transit benefits:
Improved transit amenities including shelters at some bus stops based on boarding counts, improved signage, and dedicated clear zones for access to front/rear doors
Dedicated bus pull-out space outside of travel lanes, as space permits
Modified bus stop locations that will help improve service
Transit signal priority that will help buses progress through signalized intersections
Vehicular benefits:
New pavement structure and high visibility pavement markings and signage
New and enhanced traffic signals to improve traffic operations
Fewer conflicts with pedestrians, bicyclists, and buses
